Transformation. Just saying the word can bring about excitement or trepidation in leaders. At Texas Health Resources, transformation is our new order for the day.
This month, we begin a climb towards a 10-year transformational journey designed to make Texas Health Resources the benchmark by which other health care systems across the nation will measure themselves.
Our marketplace is changing rapidly. Millions of dollars of venture capital is pouring into the marketplace for freestanding facilities, eroding the base of community-based, acute care hospitals.
Texas Health Resources has been successful in our first ten years as a health care system, but “business as usual” will no longer suffice. As we assess the dynamic market shifts around us, we realize we have to change the way we deliver health care. We must take significant steps rather than incremental steps to change health care in North Texas to best meet consumers’ needs today and tomorrow.
Our ultimate goal is to be nationally recognized as an excellent and innovative health care system with a culture of exceptional individuals caring for individuals together.
