The Business of
Health Care Report
This month we're beginning an awareness campaign to let consumers know how to use some of the new tools on the site to assess your health risks, keep a confidential medical history, learn what medical news is breaking around the world, and investigate diseases and treatment options. Log on to TexasHealth.org and click on "health information."
There, you'll find a new Health Risk Assessment. It is uniquely yours and strictly confidential, accessible only
by you with a secured password unless you also wish to share it with your physician. Learn where you're at risk based
on lifestyle, current health condition and health history. Get suggestions on what to do to improve your health,
from a report associated with your Health Risk Assessment findings. Also at TexasHealth.org in the health information section,
enter your confidential Personal Health Record. Tired of repeating your surgeries, symptoms and medications
each time you visit a new physician? This personal health history is a document where you keep track of your health,
print it off and always have it up-to-date. Again, it's confidential with your secured password. Since some of you may
be changing physicians this time of year, having this helpful tool complete can be very useful. Need a physician throughout North Texas? A database of several
thousand physicians allows you to search by specialty, name and hospital affiliation. Texas Health.org is the most comprehensive local resource to stay up-to-date
on health news, search about diseases and treatments and manage your health using the Health Risk Assessment and Personal Health
Record. Remember, point, click, health! For Texas Health Resources
and its family of hospitals - Harris Methodist Hospitals, Presbyterian
Healthcare System and Arlington Memorial Hospital - I'm CEO Doug
